Goals and expected outcomes

Goals:

Create RAMS engine
Extend system to be able to do tracking and auditing.
Develop research activity Tool template
Develop research activity Tools (collecting human data, collaborative assessment of evaluators).
VRE integration
Develop generalized configuration specifications for Tools
Extend the authoring environment to allow editing activity aggregations.
Integrate Desktop/application Sharing, Voice/Video over IP, etc.
Explore non-flash environment (i.e. HTML only and Java Applet), mobile computing environment, non-networked environment.
Integrating with ID systems.
Development of best practice workflows.

Identify research workflow requirements (consider different types of research workflows) especially for development purposes (does not have to be complete but just base on the starting conceptual use cases)
Identify scopes (there may be different phases)
Analyze and identify characteristics of RAMS different from LAMS
Analyze and identify characteristics of EWE which can be used for both LAMS and RAMS
Determine architectural details
Identify developmental tasks
Identify development scopes
Develop EWE
Develop RAMS and optionally redevelop LAMS with EWE
Disseminate RAMS for Mini-Grants
Encourage Mini-Grants (A) to create RAMS workflows
Encourage Mini-Grants (B) to develop RAMS Tools
Deliver outcomes of the project to DEST
Disseminate outcomes of the project
Document future tasks to make the RAMS production ready
